Jeff Wade
Jeff Wade... That would be me, Mr. Pianopage. I started piano in the 3rd grade. I never really liked it from the beginning. My parents begged, bargained and at times forced me to continue lessons. I still thank them for that to this day! I learned other instruments as well, the guitar first then drums. I LOVED the drums, and attended the University of Central Arkansas on a full music scholarship for playing drums. After a year, Joined a rock band and hit the road. That was the end of piano for about 10 years or so. Eventually, I became bored with the music BUSINESS and wanted to really get into DRUMS. I started lessons with Dale Armstrong in Nashville Tennessee, and when he began work at Belmont University, I started classes there. For the first time in my life, I found that I loved the piano and music theory in general. I ended up teaching there several years, evenutally moving to Miami to work on a DMA in jazz percussion. I got a job with Keyboard for Kids, and with the enthusiastic help and inspiration of Laura Schofield, began teaching private piano lessons. This inspired a rebirth of piano practice, which lead to more writing and finally this web page! I hope you enjoy it.
